I've really enjoyed learning SolidWorks! The design style is much different from ACAD but makes changing models very easy! Luckily SolidWorks, Inventor, & of course Fusion 360 are very closely related and I learned Fusion 360 from creating 3D models to print!
Yes I'm behind in posting this announcement, better late than never! I've dreamed of jumping into freelance/contract for years and have finally taken the plunge! This is exciting and scary all at the same time. I'll continue to blog my progress, tips & tricks so check back here.
I finally got Inventor installed and ran through the tutorials and tried a "real world" test run. It is very similar to Fusion360 and adds quite a few bells and whistles. The shaft and worm gear wizards we very impressive and are huge time savers!
More laser cutting at the maker space! This time I used 1/4" plywood and changed the slice direction based on a demo I saw at the Fort Worth Imprinted Sportswear Show.
